Mr. Aloha,

Only in trading markets, when a stock is moving within a certain range do 'oversold' or 'overbought' signals have any significance for making a trading decision. A stock that is running, that is making a bull or a bear move, is going to constantly give overbought/oversold signals....so selling a stock that is in the middle of a bull run, just because it is overbought, or buying a stock that is in the hands of bears and selling off, just because it is oversold, is a sure means of getting a margin call.
