If the iranians bite off more than they can chew in iraq, and in a sense become the new occupiers, the old arab/persian tensions will heat up again and the US can sit on the sidelines and watch iranian imperialism fall apart. A united iraq is in everyones interest in the region with the exception of al quaeda who would love to see the US and or Iran suffer. The president of iran stands in the way, even of some mullahs who might want normalization with the US and even in the Israel/Pal conflict. Perhaps a bullet in the right place would solve all our problems. Maybe Tony Soprano could do what he did last night and import a couple of pros into Tehran. They could ask the iranian pres for directions like they did Rusty (frankie vallie).
