Yes, definitely contemplating the plug-in option. That price would need to come down substantially for it to be a real possibility. Even when buying the Prius, I didn't really think that I would be saving any money over another fuel efficient car. However, as it turns out, I believe that I am when gas averages over $2.50. Just lucky though.

Battery tech creeps ahead so slowly. I've been an investor in VLNC long enough to cry or kick something. One of these days, their safe, easily disposable, li-ion battery is going to be adopted by someone large. Or they'll get crushed by Samsung or Matsushita. :(
