I could see competition showing up pretty quickly, becuase this type of process is so important right now with the light crude market getting very tight and a lot of heavy crude sitting in the ground with no economical way to get it to the refinery. The market is probably big enough to support more than one company, but your point is well taken. Someone out there may be already working on a way to do it better or work around the patent. I should try to get some opinions from people who know the oil business better than me.
