Currently the SPR seems to stand at about 687mmB with a capacity of 727 mmb. Scheduled additions were a little over 2mmBs for each of April and May.

Yesterday the DOE issued a release innitiating its red tape necessary for proceeding with the mandated expansion of the SPR to 1 billion B.

Comox: "... Ethanol is a bad joke, IMO..."
I think it's worse than that - it's obscene. To the best of my recollection the growing of corn leads to the depletion of soil like no other common crop. Our governments are subsidizing the mining of the soil and the exhaustion of its fertility so we can delay by a few years facing the real problem. I have no words to adequately express how reprehensible I find this.
