Royco and Dennis. I had posted to Dennis that the only caveat I could see was a flat tax. But I did not want to confuse him, gg, so I took it back out. But even with a flat tax, if Dennis has a 30 year time horizon, it could still be to his advantage even with a flat tax. If you consider that his IRA could go up, let's say 10 times, paying no taxes on that could still outdo a flat tax. The scenario of no tax and just a consumption tax would be the ideal thing, but even a "R" President and Congress and Senate might not produce this. Look what happened to Forbes. How many "R" jumped on the bandwagon with Forbes? They should have and maybe will one day. Mr. Forbes had the right idea but Mr. and Mrs. Public did not like it. Where were the votes? Consumption tax re flat tax or whatever will be frowned on by lower middle income people. I read an article the other day that Americans actually like to pay taxes - give me a break!! I am sure that Dennis will consult a tax accountant before jumping into things with both feet. I am with you, the name of the game is defer, defer, defer. Why did they come up with this? Tax revenues. It's almost like analysts tell us to buy and sell all the time. But if Dennis can spread the 28% tax over 4 years he should do ok.

Sonny
