How is it that it took so little research by armatures to figure out the Niger report was fake and in fact some of the people listed on it were not even in the government at the time of its supposed occurrence. But the president of United States was duped by this armature work...how come he did not ask people to assess its validity? Or is it that the CIA chief is right and they did tell WH the report is bogus and he chose to ignore it?

Which is it? Willful deception/ignorance or genuine incompetence/stupidity?
