Peter, I recall watching you draw your free-hand boxes and adding the 3/4 lines at TANJ, so I know exactly what Richard is referring to when he called you the fastest Gann boxer there is.<GGG> When I later tried to recall the extra diagonals you drew, I drew them to the 1/4 and 1/2 squares also, so ended up with 6 additional lines that didn't work too well!! Now, in adding just the 3/4 lines, I see exactly what you mean by "interesting". It supported the July 1 drop perfectly, and VVUS rode the 3/4 line up very accurately from 8/14 to 9/15. It also gives a much more plausible support if VVUS starts riding the 1X1 support line down now. This support is 29-30 depending on how rapidly it should drop vs the 1X2 support at 27 1/4 much further out time-wise.
Interestingly, I wasted an hour superimposing the 12.5 ratio 22500X180 over the 10 or 20 ratio box (36000X360 or 36000X180). Using thick lines and grey color, could separate the 2 boxes S & R lines. I wrote a long page saying that although the 10 or 20 ratio (they superimpose perfectly as you said, Peter) yielded accurate resistance, the superimposed 12.5 ratio box gave much better support. AFTER the wasted hour tediously describing what I had found, I erased them both, drew a new 10 ratio box and added your 3/4 lines and lo and behold--this gave as good or better support than the 12.5 lines--and needless to say, a helluva lot easier on the eyes than trying to keep 2 superimposed boxes of different colors and line thickness separated!!
Much thanks to you both--Peter and Richard--your clear responses have cleared away a lot of fog that has enveloped my mind as I have tried to use or develop Gann boxes over the past few months. I only wish I has asked for help earlier!!
