Global trade should be fair trade. What is fair trade? It should be bilateral and it should be based on a market determined exchange rate. The U.S. should demand a market exchange rate with China and also demand that China eliminate its barriers to trade within its borders. I see no reason why the U.S. is completely open for trade without a reciprocal arrangement with China.
