RE: fuel surcharges>> Just received an order of stuff from UPS and the vendor Co. added a 5% fuel surcharge to the shipping total, which I had not noticed in the past. So I did some digging. The shipping cost went from $6 last August to $10.63 (a 77% increase) (same product-same box-same weight) as of today, so the rate itself has been increasing, plus the extra surcharge. No wonder shipping companies are showing decent profits.
