You've got your work cut out for you(researching ALL internet stocks)
There are far too many for one person alone to research.
This thread happened to appear within a group that I setup. I'm not sure how it got there but I think it could be a good place to discuss internet stocks. Looks like I'm the first person to respond.

I don't like either of the stocks you mention, I havent done any research on them and really just don't "feel good" about them. Probably due to the recent run up and am afraid of the downside.

I really like Infoseek , I think it's one of the best (actually the best) search engine out there (or information service or whatever they're trying to call themselves these days). It's way undervalued compared to the others. All the others too , not just Yahoo. I posted recently on the Infoseek thread that I wouldn't be happy until Infoseek's market cap surpasses Yahoo's. I predicted May of '98. That's wishful thinking more than anything but I really like Infoseek and I know other people that do too.

Another stock I like , I'm not sure if you would classify it as an internet stock is Ascend. Hurt bad recently due to minor earnings revisions. I bought a relatively small position lately because I still have to do some research but I think they look really good at the price they're trading for now.

Another stock I like is Forte Software. Again not directly an internet stock but it's application develpment environment is for mission critical software for multiple users (thousands of users). It took a dump friday down 1-5/16. Looks like a good buying opportunity but I can't find any news about why it dropped.. Will check out that thread after this to see if anyone has found anything.

I don't know if these stocks meet your criteria for internet stocks but I thought I'd offer my 2 cents. You started this thread pretty recently and I think once people find out about it there will be plenty of posts here. I agree that there is alot of money to be made on the internet. I could change the whole concept of how retail sales work. I think the big hurrdle right now for internet sales is getting the general population comfortable with buying good over the internet. They need to know that if someone steals their credit card number because they transmitted it over the internet, they won't be responsible for the illegal charges.

I apologize for any typos but I don't have time to go back and check. I've just been typing what came to mind and I have too go now. Looking forward to good conversation on this thread. Will add it to my main group (although it seems somebody already has).
