China Finds Bird-Flu Reporting Problems China's central government said that local health officials there have failed to report possible human cases of bird flu, raising the possibility that the country's death toll from the disease is higher than the official count of a dozen people. Though China has been quick to report confirmed cases of the disease to the World Health Organization, health experts have long feared that China would have difficulty ensuring that local officials in remote provinces would quickly report new cases to Beijing. * * * www.wsj.com
