Well, the chart says bad news is in the air for Dell, but this is just amazing - they are offering a desktop system with a DVD/CDRW drive, 160GB hard disk, and 19" LCD - for $349!!! At this price you can almost throw the computer away if you need the monitor <ggg>. On the other hand, perhaps this IS the bad news.... configure.us.dell.com Regards, John PS - At these prices who needs those costly antivirus and spyware subscriptions, not to mention an extended warranty!! Perhaps Dell has stumbled on a new model here - your computer gets infested with bad code and spyware - just throw it away and get a new one for less than the price of an IPOD!! <ggg> I've been reading about the $100 cranked laptop that Negroponte of MIT wants to create for poor third world kids - the way things are going I'll bet Dell will be able to sell him a Dimension with a crank for less....
