04.27.2006 -- Federal Government Adopts Telos’ Security Solutions Xacta IA Manager™, Automated Message Handling System and security consulting services now available for purchase through SmartBUY agreement

ASHBURN, Va. -- April 27, 2006 -- Federal agencies including the DoD now have discounted access to Xacta IA Manager™ and Xacta Automated Message Handling System from Telos® Corporation -- developed by Xacta® Corporation, its security solutions subsidiary -- thanks to the SmartBUY Enterprise Software Agreement (ESA) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA).

The BPA was signed by the 754th Electronic Systems Group on behalf of the Department of Defense Enterprise Software Initiative (ESI). This is the latest enterprise software agreement the federal government has signed with its major suppliers.

A projected $56 million in sales of Xacta IA Manager, Xacta Automated Message Handling System and security consulting is expected to be supported during the next 12 months of the agreement, which ends in July 2008.

Used by more than 23 federal agencies, Xacta IA Manager is the product frontrunner for automated enterprise security process automation. Xacta IA Manager establishes a centralized security management platform that facilitates compliance assessment, continuous risk and compliance management, and security process enforcement. In addition to identifying risks, Xacta IA Manager automatically initiates corrective actions to protect systems.

Xacta AMHS allows users to manage their respective classified and unclassified defense messages in a more efficient and cost-effective manner – providing agency users with precise control over the large volume of messaging information they already handle every day. Further, Xacta AMHS enables agencies to easily create, coordinate, release, archive, and search massive volumes of messages. Armed with Xacta AMHS, users can route mission-critical messaging information in real-time to appropriate personnel regardless of their location – whether they are in the office or on the battlefield.

“SmartBUY/ESI agreements such as this recognize preferred industry solutions by maximizing the federal government’s buying power, allowing extensive economies of scale,” said Telos Chief Executive Officer John B. Wood. “They represent a significant commitment on behalf of the government to corporations providing software that is widely used within the federal spaces.”
