Chris, you hit the nail on the head. William Eng, in his classic "The Technical Analysis of Stocks, Options and Futures" makes this exact point. Specific technical tools are valid only for specific situations. Stochastic analysis typically provides the overbought/oversold signal. Right now, stochastics says that Ascend is oversold. However, Ascend is trading down and in a bearish trend. Only crossovers from overbought are valid right now (William Eng). The oversold signal is not a valid signal. Harry
