AMA: monopolistic thugs. Health Insurers: ineffective, monopolistic thugs. Healthcare is a disaster in the US because it's treated as a money making proposition instead of a civil right for all citizens. The AMA closed down medical schools and made it difficult for people to become doctors. It also lobbies to prevent foreign doctors from coming here. The AMA is a thuggish organization and is the bane of true health CARE...then again so are all of those quacks killing 200,000 Americans every year. Is it any wonder why healthcare is in such trouble here when it's run by 'people' such as these? It's amazing. The US Of A is going to give 'capitalism' a bad name.
