Like North Korea was punished? LOL.

Well, there you go... I guess we all need to be "surrender monkeys" like you and never even attempt to confront nations that are actively making aggressive threats against other countries..

Never shame other countries who are enabling this reckless and belligerent behavior??

Just goes to show that your perfect candidate is someone who will is more willing to appease such verbal, and/or physical aggression rather than confront and face it down...

Hell, the previous administration's answer to N. Korean violations was to sell it light water reactor technology and 500,000 tonnes of fuel oil every year...

And the N. Koreans STILL went Nuclear...

So now it's a regional problem and it requires a regional response.

But of course, your favorite candidate would likley propose bi-lateral talks with N. Korea, unilaterally excluding every other nation in the region in order to make a private deal with the "Dear Son".. ;0)

WWII was the last real war we had and that cost 50 million people. We can beat that substantially.

Funny that you mention that... I seem to recall that it was the very same kind of appeasement and denialist thinking that led Hitler to become even more bold to the point where the world had no other choice but to wage war against Nazi Germany..

Hitler correctly judged that there would be no response from France or England when he declared that Germany would no longer be bound by the Versailles treaty.

Had both of those nations stood firm and been willing to confront Hitler, it's likely that he would have been required to retreat from his Foreign Policy objectives and stand down and millions of lies might have been saved.

But no.. it was people like yourself who sought to avoid confrontation until it was forced upon them. And millions of people died as a result.
