And--- feeding dollars into bad actor regimes oil providing 1/3 of the current account deficit oil prices taking productive dollars out of the economy regressive tax *global warming and pollution if you believe in that stuff We could EASILY travel just as many miles on 60% of the fuel, which would cut the price of oil in half.
