Jokes are never funny if you have to explain them. btw, even though you didn't get it everybody else did. So, I'll explain it just for you.

Eh hemmm. When you ask people to deny things that have no factual basis they don't ... nor do they argue to confirm them as either position would reveal a false heart. However, a false hearted person has no problem bolstering comments that have no basis in fact. Such a person makes a bafoon of themselves for everyone to see but since they are blind to their own bafoonery, in their arrogant ignorance they convince themself that they have been clever.

The joke then, was in providing an analogy to your repeated challenges. Of course no one wants to burn Bundy's mom at the stake and most of us don't give a hoot whether or not she was kind to him after he got into trouble. The issue of his crime and whether or not his mother was kind enough to bring a pie are completely separate. Nor do we care if Bush or anyone else carried on legitimate business operations with Saudis over oil, in fact rational people recognize the importance of such business relations (even though OBL is a Saudi).

It was an obvious joke because it was followed by an <s> for sarcasm.

So it is the old 'he is a legend in his own mind' joke that everyone gets ... except the self deceptive folks like you.
