To get the people OUT of the SUV's and INTO the tiny hybrids, you need some public policy incentives. Dumbya? YOU'RE the leader...

Of course you have read "my plan". I think the most inportant thing is to incentive gasoline MPG efficiency, technology agnostic. Hell, a traditional internal combustion engine that gets 50 MPG is a GREAT thing. Put everybody in the US in one of those... we are energy independent.

But you are right, we need leadership more than we need technology.
