Wow.. so now I have to guess what you're proposing?

You can if you want, but that wasn't the question I asked.

we have no control over them because we've permitted them to have the keys to the M.A.D. house.

One thing we learned from history is that MAD worked.

And now we've got an arms race and every nation in the region seeking nuclear weapons, while Iran has a shield from behind which they can pursue their aggressive and subversive activities towards other nations in the region.

You're a little late with that idea. Iran is looking around and sees Israel, Pakistan, and India with nukes. Pakistan is looking at India, knowing full well they haven't a shot in the world of winning a conventional war against India. Then Bush goes and helps India in it's ability to pruduce more enriched uranium. Of course Pakistan is going to look into building more nukes.

What if this was Adolf Hitler and he was seeking the nuclear fuel cycle? Do you think we could trust him to only use it for peaceful purposes?

This isn't Adolf Hitler. Hitler died.

BTW. Iran just received a missile shipment from North Korea. Is that another failure of our intelligence capabilities or did Bush do nothing to stop it. [Don't try any international law BS, the Administration has stopped other vessels on the open seas.]
