Yes, his article is more than sensible. Too bad our schools don't teach basic supply and demand, as well as how the oil/energy supply works.....Countries with oil sell it to commodity traders, who in turn sell it to oil companies, who in turn have to have it refined into about 300+ boutique blends, plus have the total infrastructure to support the big business. Pipelines, oil rigs, trucks, etc etc etc.....
If we had alternative fuels, we could buy them. No refineries for 30 years doesn't help. Not being allowed to drill off our own shores doesn't help either. Not being able to refine oil shale, or coal, etc etc, doesn't help either.
Plus did I hear it correctly, that now Mexico will be drilling off OUR coasts, and we still aren't able to do so?
