I know. The Republicans really did used to be the "party of fiscal responsibility", but, I'm afraid they've lost that mantle forever.

I think it started with Reagan, and it's just exploded under Bush, this "borrow and spend" philosophy. Since he's only President for eight years, what does he care? Reagan cared, and even raised taxes a little. Poppy raised taxes even more.

I think the chimp believes in tax cuts as strongly as he believes in Jeezuz, and he just doesn't care about deficits. He's got Cheney there, who not only won't be around in three years, but probably won't be ALIVE in ten, telling him that "deficits don't matter"!
