Here's the link for the Iomega 3-month backlog story: techweb.com It looks like NEC hasn't begun Zip production yet: "Matsushita Communication Industrial Co. Ltd., the parent company of Panasonic Corp. based in Japan, and NEC Corp. have licenses to produce Zip drives, but NEC has not yet begun production and Matsushita now is going into production, Porter said." And another interesting quote: "Artale said that the Zip drive performs fastest in the internal SCSI format." Philip
