If one holds physical silver in any quantity then one has storage cost. If one keeps it at home one has the risk of loss from floods and natural disasters.

The ETF cost are about one half of one percent per year. Most find that is far less than the cost of holding one own physical silver.

But does anyone think that paying 11% to buy physical silver and then 11% to sell it makes any sense? That's what small buyers have been paying to buy coins at the ask and then when they sell at the bid.

For me that explains all the opposition to the silver ETF and the lies told about the GLD ETFs by those with an interest in protecting their businesses.
