reflect back to 70's when ted kennedy and company came after big oil and windfall profits tax.

xon went into computer pc business,,, mobil bought monkey ward. they took the profits and rather reinvest into finding oil and pay excess tax they went into other business.. and lost their shirts... (pun intended)?
