It is now being argued that being chronically ill from a poor country makes you a refugee (poor people being an oppressed group, and being ill making you fear death if you return). Of course that qualifies you to bring all your family -- bonus if they are sickly too. Wouldn't that be a wonderful precedent for our system if the courts agree, much like the Supreme Court decision that decreed anyone who applies for refugee status is fully entitled to live in Canada at our expense and our medical system's expense until we prove them otherwise through multiple expensive appeals. We will be flooded with all the poor and sick of the world who can get tickets here and get themselves hooked up for free chronic health care.
