Strengthening the muscles around an inflamed joint is the only solution for discomfort and stability. I am constantly looking for ways to strengthen my lower back muscles. One of the things I do is sit on the edge of a very low bench, put my legs together and raise them while letting go of any handle. I literally balance on the edge of the seat. The only thing holding me up is my stomach muscles.

If she is serious about her volley ball, her only choice is to follow instructions and exercise those muscles. Exercise isn't a cure all, but it sure does help keep us limber and active. When I stop moving is when I'll want to die.

You've heard the old saying "Use it or lose it."

It's true!
