Chris, Thanks for the technical dissertation, I only wish I was a design engineer and could understand what it is you said.

My question, is based on all the information I've ever read about MO and its usage, why hasn't its erasable feature ever been marketed? I humbly submit that your technical knowledge far exceeds mine, or you know a bunch of weird words that only an engineer could make up -- but anyway how come MO drives haven't reached the level of Zip acceptance?

The fact is that MO has been relegated by the customer as an expensive, write once device. How would you market out of that paper bag? Sorry, I just can't see how this thing moves out of its usage as a backup/archival device. Your technical explanation reminds me of the political rhetoric we are going to be hearing throughout the month -- I know it means something, but I just can't quite figure out the value.

Sorry, I'm just missing it. BTW, for the linguistically impaired what is "Yoroshiku".

thanks
trakker
