14:52 TASR TASER: Scotland police call for all officers to be equipped with TASER Devices (10.65 +0.14) Co announces that according to news reports from The Scotsman, the Scottish Police Federation on Wednesday called for all frontline officers in Scotland to be equipped with TASER devices as a way to combat armed criminals. The federation, which is comprised of 15,000 frontline officers, said currently only a few hundred officers are trained to use TASER devices. While the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland has only used TASER devices four times since their introduction last year, they were twice used in situations where the only other option was to shoot the suspect.
