This stuff is way beyond me.

This stuff is beyond everyone, much of it beyond even the best experts. When people have needs that extend beyond the ability of science to provide, they supplement their science with religious-like belief. At least part of the global warming message is in the religious realm. If the line between sound science and religion gets blurred even for alleged scientists, what are the rest of us to do?
