Well, I still learning. ROST short interest in August was 1,086,708 compared to 1,010,684 in July. That's +76,024 or an 8% increase of shorted shares. The average shares traded daily was 644,887. So, the boost in the ROST price might have been a mini short squeeze. The question is, now what? ROST is STILL selling at a 36% discount P/E. I recall the pre-split price reaching $48.00 at the old earnings per share. The earnings are higher now and the fundamentals are still valid. There may be some profit takers, but, ROST has a long way to go up! ROST tends to hug that upper Bollinger Band for a while. Congrats on your $1,000 kahuna. Next time, it will be double that amount I'm sure!
