Last I was on TMF, they had eliminated threads that were created to tout OTCBB and Pink Sheets stocks. Shortly thereafter, they eliminated all the threads having to do with the garbage exchanges, and sometime after that, they started removing individual posts that concerned the garbage exchanges.
So, when TMF members are "rating" posts from other members, the posts are almost entirely about "legitimate" stocks, that is, stocks that are listed on the major exchanges and have real earnings and real revenues and real, audited financials, not just so-called "story" stocks.
TMF also has/had some posts regarding the financial markets in general (not specific stocks) and some threads devoted to mutual funds and some threads devoted to bonds. (I might point out that, sadly, SI lacks significant member interest in mutual funds and bonds.)
I've read quite a few of TMF's daily recommended posts, and for the most part, they're quite well written, only rarely controversial, and usually contain quite a bit of insight into the markets or a specific stock. In other words, TMF administers that feature quite well...
