Good morning GIG, Re: Getting the most out of a price swing....

Congratulations on both your Sun and Vitesse moves. While we go about it in a different fashion, we seem to be motivated by the same goals. My motto is "Buy from the Scared and Sell to the Greedy."

My M.O. is to make smaller incremental trades when selling into strength and buying into weakness. The main reason is that I've found this to work better for me than making an "all or nothing" decision. I average in and average out.

I'll look, but I believe that in the VTSS case my holding is now roughly 80% cash and 20% invested, but the numbers are at the office.

It's a shame that egos got in the way of running a business. I remember a friend telling me to avoid "the three Ps" when investing. "Paneling", "Pretty secretaries" and "Planes." If the company's recently built a big new headquarters spending shareholder's dollars on non-productive space, if there's way too many pretty secretaries running around the office or a Corporate plane in a hanger - run the other way!!! This could be one definition of Egonomics.

Best regards, Tom
