Hi Dave. While waiting for a refresh a few minutes ago I glance at my progress bar and noticed this: "waiting for googleanylytics.com".

I have never seen that before and probably it would never be noticed with high speed, however, being in a rural area I do not have that option and have to rely on two way satellite, much slower at probably twice the price. Out of curiosity I opened another browser window to check it out and found this:

google.com

My question is whether this is necessary for accounts that are supposedly free of advertisement?

I saw the same thing a few minutes later, again probably not noticeable by those more fortunate.
