Why Bush Needs to Flipflop More

For the sake of his party's future, Bush needs to flip-flop some more and take on the oil barons, maybe back down on his stand against an excess-profits tax. Or get out of Iraq and ease the risk premium on crude. Huge reversals, to be sure, but his political team knows well that if voters are paying $4 a gallon to get to the polls in November, Republicans will pay the highest price of all.

(This advice from a fairly conservative pundit who used to bash Kerry for no good reason.)
