IMHO its TOO LATE to reduce gas prices in the near future, that should have been considered 5 years ago when Bush wanted to drill in Anwar and extend drilling along all our coasts, to this day that been filibustered by the Democratic BLOC in the Senate (ie there are more then 50 votes but not 60 votes). So, all thats left for now would be a SUSPENSION of Federal taxes on gasoline (perhaps state also) but that would hurt the transportation funds which as I understand it are sorely under funded as it is, since much of the money has been spent on PUBLIC transportation rather then roads and bridges as it originally was intended for. jdn
