SF is a beautiful place to visit, but the last time we were there, it was dirty...streets, sidewalks, airport, etc....people notice that kind of thing, and remember. If the outside is dirty, it makes me wonder what the inside looks like....probably much worse. About 10-15 years ago, SF was getting spiffed up for some reason, and everything looked like it had a facelift, and that the building washer services had been there...windows and streets were clean, and the city sparkled. We used to go to SF at least once a year, but in the last several years, our enthusiasm dulled, and even if we go to the Monterey area, we don't stop in SF... Sad.
