"national socialist police state "?

The current administration in the US, with its aggressive right wing economic policies on the one hand and authoritarian "homeland security" police state apparatus on the other, is working towards a police state that is much more fascist than socialist authoritarian in nature.

If by "national socialists" you mean the Nazis, who were in reality fascist not socialist, then your statement is more supportable.

As to you trying to pin this on Clinton, to a non-American's non-partisan viewpoint, his policies are virtually indistinguishable from either Bush's in most respects, except for the push towards authoritarianism which Bush Jr. has launched. The range between left and right is so tiny in the US compared to the other liberal democracies -- yes, the US is still a liberal democracy whether you like it or not, the "liberal" in the terminology having nothing to do with the partisan American pejorative -- that the Democrats and Republicans are clearly two branches of the same governing party.

BTW, history tells us that fascism and capitalism are very good partners if the only valuation metric is increasing corporate profits.
