True Max. The corporations own the TV stations; and ratings are their first concern.

I have mentioned the great Ashly Banfield a Canadiann nescaster who tried to tell the thruth at the beginning of the Iraq war. She was fast becoming a super star she was so good.

But she tried to tell the truth and was soon fired and banished. Other newscasters took heed and layed down so there was no discourse on the Iraq war.

I saw where bush took a cheap shot at dick Gregory on friday because he has been asking too many pertinant questions.

The news crew riding with the presidnt were made to watch fox and just finally had the guts to ask them to change the channel to CNN.

The great Helen Thomas who is about 100 now was the only one with the courage to keep asking the hard questions. The bush administration beat her up, called her senile, wouldn't call on her and generally made fun of her.

But whe is still sharp as a tack and wouldn't cave in. She kept asking day after day and never gave up. I think she got the last laugh and is now recognized as one of our greatest heros over the last five years.
