I really don't know why we are there, what our objective is or what constitutes "victory". We seem to just be killing and getting killed for really no reason at all.

And I really don't know why you don't understand by now...

frontpagemag.com

Maybe you're too mentally "poor" to "pay" attention to images of Al Qai'da suicide bombers blowing up mosques...

Or maybe you can't fathom that maybe, just maybe, Al Qai'da leadership is just as interested in "reforming" Iraq to an Islamo-Fascist ideology, as we are in trying to create Democracy there...

Or that maybe, just maybe, they are just as interested in controlling Iraq's oil, as we are in insuring that the oil is NOT permitted to fall under their control..

However, it's probable that you're just intellectually lazy, analytically incompetent, and so politically biased that you are incapable of understanding the very concept of "grand strategy".

So while you're asking about "Grand Strategies", maybe you'd like to ask George Clooney why he, and thousands of others, rallied in DC to have the US intervene in Dafur, Sudan, where we're be involved in fighting Muslim militants again, but they remain opposed to our fighting in Iraq?

Is it because they're more willing to secure Chinese oil supplies (from Sudan) than they are about securing global oil supplies from Iraq?
