The talking heads this weekend were all pretty much stating that McCain is likely to take the Republican nomination. That's about the only person the Republicans can nominate that will actually have a chance in 2008. Bad news for the Democrats, but certainly not a knock out punch either. McCain is not well liked by rightwingers, despite his relatively conservative voting record, and will have trouble exciting the Republican base.

Hillary Vs. McCain is a really hard matchup to figure.
