I like Warner vs. McCain. Warner seems like a lock to win for the Democrats in 08. How can the Democrats lose if they pick up a few Southern states like Virginia and West Virgina? Especially a ticket like Warner/Bayh. That seems like a total lock, as it would almost guarantee VA, WV and IN. Republicans can't win without those sort of states.

Hillary would make it an interesting race. The Democrats could still win in 08 with Hillary at the helm, but it would be a much closer race. It would depend a lot more upon who the Republicans ran and what kind of campaign each side ran. It would be hard to handicap, as a lot of men would rally to "war hero" McCain and a certain segment of women would rally around the prospect of a women President. In the end, it could be very close. McCain could win for the Republicans, especially with the right runningmate choice.

What Democratic states could McCain swing? NH, PA, IA, WI, NM, etc. It would be close.
