| I met a lady some years back who, at age 72, looked about 50. Here skin was radiant, hair only lightly peppered with gray, still thick and luxurious. She had so much vitality. Wanting very much to know what her fountain of youth was, I followed her around all evening asking her....She said she took hormones, but that's not all. She'd be raised by very health conscious parents, breastfed while everyone else was bottlefed. She'd been a vegetarian eating only raw and natural foods, no sugar nor dairy, up until college when she tried what the other kids ate. She broadened her eating habits some, adding a little fish, chicken..When eating out, she accepted what was on the menu. At home, her diet conformed to the one she'd had as a child. I believe, because I have seen it, that changing one's diet can be beneficial, but having a great start - such as the one you're giving your children, probably has added years of health and well-being to their lives. |
