We do too!

We had a plumbing problem caused by the builder. They had to reverse the flow of the plumbing, take out the trees in front and put in a big ass sewer pipe that cut across the width of my front yard. We have 1/3 acre, pie shaped lot at the end of a cul-de-sac. Small front yard.

We got a letter from the HOA stating that the piles of excavated earth were in direct violation of the deed restrictions and needed to be removed immediately. I forwarded the letter on to the builder, the city (because they were the ones that said all this reverse flow and replumbing stuff had to happen) and the plumbing contractor. They were not amused.

Got another letter. Forwarded this one on to the city inspector who held up covering up the big ass sewer pipe hole because he was taking a few days off. When he got it, he wasn't amused either.

The third letter was from the association attorney. I forwarded that on to the city attorney who wasn't amused either but was able to express his disapproval at the HOA with a lot more muscle then any one else was.

We got one more letter stating that we were to have three trees in our front yard and that we were in direct violation of statute whatever. Again, I forwarded this to the city attorney to handle since he did such an outstanding job before. He send them back a letter and he got some kind of something from the judge.

We still don't have any trees in the front yard because they would interfere with the big ass sewer pipe they put in and we've never heard another word from the HOA. This was 10 years ago.
