So you are saying that solar power, wind power, wave power, hydrogen power and a few others are old outdated non-modern technologies???
I can't run my vehicle on Solar or Wind power.. And besides.. even if I could, the Sun only shines sufficiently, AT MOST, 12 hours per day and produce NOTHING at night, while wind power is ALSO inconsistent.
Wave power is a very interesting technology and we'll see how that develops.
As for Hydrogen, it's still a few years away from economic feasibility.. (I believe the hydrogen equivalent to one gallon of gas is around $7), which means it's not even cost effective in Europe yet.
And Hydrogen production, at this moment, is primarily derived from natural gas.. A FOSSIL FUEL..
It's nice that you have such a vision of the future.. But the rest of us have to live in the present.
And if y'all hadn't fussing around about refineries or ANWR for the past 15+ years, and with your boutique fuel standards.. etc... we'd easily have sufficient refined products to prevent this bottleneck that is currently taking place as MTBE is replaced with Ethanol (which you also failed to mention, but I guess that's because Bush is pushing it.. and YOU HATE BUSH.. ;0)
As for your Al Qai'da sympathies.. YOU'RE THE ONE who told us all you were a big fan of Hugo Chavez, WHO'S a big fan of Ahmadinejad, who permitting Al Qai'da leadership to transit and find haven in Iran.
