Indeed there HAS been and is! In a sense, football rivalries teach lessons of tolerance to most, in the end. At least, I should think so. People quite often just learn better than to hold dearly to rabid thoughts of true-believerism, as I like to put it. Oneday, perhaps even extremist Muslims and certain others will too.
