Aerospace Sector Soaring Higher

The U.S. aerospace industry will fly high through at least 2010, with sales of about $183 billion this year, up 7.5% from last year and 24% more than five years ago. That's a major entry on the plus side of the trade balance. We expect sales by makers of aircraft, satellites, missile systems, aerospace hardware and related items to rack up a $41 billion trade surplus, helping offset soaring imports of other products.
