How could they buy all those shares? Well the brokerage firms don't rate neopath very high. Vector securities just initiated coverage with a hold,,,not very good. Personally, ithink that these firms underplay many firms when they have a hand in accumulating shares. Then they give a buy when they are selling. Just a very strong feeling. The Soros news is probably good As you know, neopath has reapplied for PMA to be a primary screener instrument for pap smears. The data I have seen is good. Their partners are good, cytyc, etc. Their competator, neuromedical, seems to be complaining about slow acceptance of their product by labs. But they have the flashest ads and writeups in the professional newspapers and journals. I have seen the instrument in action and was not particularily impressed because the images are limited and are hard to interpret in difficult cases. Many times you get the feeling that you are guessing a little, and that is not good. Guessing must be minimized.
