Al Qaida began after the Gulf War because the US left a huge secret military base in Saudi Arabia (their holy land). Wikipedia is full of crap. Anyone can edit any part of Wikipedia, and the rightwing idiots have been busy doing so, including writing in smears against Kerry and claims that Bobby Kennedy was involved with Joe McCarthy.
